Introduction : The rainy season is one of the six seasons of Bangladesh. This season occurs in the month of Ashar and Shraban. In this season vapour rises from the Bay of Bengal.
Description : During the rainy season the sky remains covered with clouds. The sun is not visible for days together. Sometimes it drizzles and sometimes it rains heavily. Roads and paths go under water. Ponds, canals and rivers are filled with water. Their banks are over-flooded. Men go from one place to another by boat.
Its demerits : The villagers are to suffer from endless troubles in this season. The poor day-labourers cannot earn their bread. They are to go without food for days together. Many of them are to pass sleepless night in the rain.
Its merits : Rainfall is the main source of water supply in our country. The main crops of Bangladesh thrive well under the showers of rain.
Conclusion : The rainy season is a very important season in Bangladesh fully depends on this season. This brings life and energy to one and all.
