The sentence is the biggest grammatical unit which consists of words, phrases and clauses অর্থাৎ যে বৃহত্তম grammatical unit এর মধ্যে আমরা word, phrase এবং clause-এর ব্যবহার দেখতে পাই সেটাকেই আমরা sentence বা বাক্য হিসেবে অভিহিত করি।

কোন স্থান, জায়গা, ক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে জানার জন্য Where ব্যবহৃত হয়। প্রদত্ত বাক্যে (assertive sentence) preposition (যথা-to, in, at, from ইত্যাদি) + noun word থাকলে তা দ্বারা স্থান বুঝায়, তবে অনেক সময় স্থান বাচক শব্দগুলো অন্য word দ্বারাও শুরু হতে পারে।
